Polish operator of Druzhba to prepare for reverse oil supplies

WARSAW, Feb 28 (PRIME) -- Polish operator of the oil pipeline Druzhba PERN will prepare the pipeline to oil transit eastwards, the company said in a statement on Friday.

“PERN has decided that the eastern part of the Druzhba pipeline will be able to transport oil in a reverse mode, which means transportation of crude from Plock to Adamowo,” the company said.

“We have understood how important this decision is during the so-called chloride crisis, when contaminated oil arrived to the country from Russia.”
